Short biography
Carolin Brodtmann researches far-right ideologies in nature conservation and environmental protection, as well as gender-nature relations in the socio-ecological transformation. In her doctoral thesis, she examines democratic-emancipatory responses and counter-movements to far-right ecologisms. She previously studied politics, sociology and socio-ecological economics at Humboldt University Berlin and at Vienna University of Economics and Business. She also worked for the CoalExit research group at the Technical University of Berlin, where her research was focused on gender justice in transformation processes, specifically coal phase-outs.

Political ecology, (far-)right ecologisms, feminist theory, critical agrarian studies, gender studies, right-wing extremism
