The Digital Health Governance research group, led by Katharina Theresa Paul at the University of Vienna, advances rigorous, interdisciplinary research on how evidence, expertise, and public engagement shape health policy and practice. We currently focus on vaccination and (public) digital health governance – examining trust, participation, and policy design – to inform equitable, transparent, and accountable decision-making across Europe and beyond. Through collaborative scholarship and stakeholder partnerships, we translate research into actionable insights that strengthen democratic governance in and beyond health. Katharina Paul is currently leading the FWF START prize project “Valuing Vaccination” (2021–2028) and the research group on Health, Expertise, and Policy (HEX-POL).
