Barbara Prainsack appointed Advisory Board Member of ICPerMed

As a renowned expert in the fields of Health policy and ELSA, Barbara Prainsack was invited to become a member of the ICPerMed Advisory Board

International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed)

The concept of Personalised Medicine (PM) has been steadily growing in importance for healthcare systems all over the world. In this context, the International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) was established as a forum to promote personalised medicine research and its implementation in healthcare, covering a whole range of relevant issues.

ICPerMed is a European Member States driven initiative with international perspectives supported by the European Commission and consists of 48 national and regional ministries and funding organisations from Europe, as well as several partners from around the world. ICPerMed has organised several major international events to discuss PM, and published strategic documents including the ICPerMed Action Plan (2017) and the ICPerMed Vision for PM in 2030 (2019).

Advisory Board

ICPerMed is establishing an Advisory Board, which will be comprised of around 12 experts from multiple fields that are essential for PM research and implementation.

The Advisory Board is expected to support ICPerMed by:

  • Identifying strategic questions for ICPerMed’s future and running activities, incl. expert guidance on sharping the focus of actions;
  • Ensuring ICPerMed’s alignment with current and future developments in PM research and implementation approaches;
  • Advising ICPerMed from an independent point of view.

Congratulations to Barbara Prainsack on her new role as a member of the ICPerMed Advisory Board!
